Indira Group of Institutes has always made an attempt for a holistic community outreach. IGBS and ICEM started an initiative called #SpreadingSmiles in the year 2017.

This year too we are spreading some smiles and are celebrating the Spirit of the Corona Warriors who served us directly or indirectly in the Pandemic times. Remember the good old doctor who lives in your neighborhood? Every day, you would find him/her at his/her clinic. Calm, gentle, patient, he/she would untiringly, speak to each and every patient and understand their medical issues. He/she was there for everyone and his presence was an assurance to everyone that they will get well soon. 

Not only Doctors, but there were many such warriors who served from time to time and were resilient, resolute and steadfast in their mission. They have prioritized service over everything else in their life and they have proved it by their dedicated and unflinching selfless service from time immemorial. They are the nurses, and ward boys, the police officers, delivery persons, and ration shop owners, vegetable-fruits vendors, and sanitation and security employees.

The Staff of Indira Global Business School along with the members from Indira College of Engineering and Management took some time out and appreciated the untiring efforts of the Corona Warriors by giving some daily necessities, face shields, masks, clothes, food and rationing items, blankets, personal hygiene products etc. to the Corona Warriors. And above all the staff members said a big Thank You to all of them for the selfless service!

As students were not on campus due to the Covid19 Scenario, all staff members took part in this wonderful initiative at Individual Level and popularised the same on social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram by using the hashtags - SPREADINGSMILES2020!#Indira #IGBS #ICEM #Celebrating4YearsOf CommunityOutreach

Thus, we all have spread some smiles given the Corona Warriors, a moment of glory!

Dr. Virendra Tatake, Director-Indira Global Business School felicitated the Society Security personnel for his untiring efforts and services during the Covid19 Pandemic.	Dr. Archana Salve, HOD-MBA Indira College of Engineering and Management expressed her gratitude to the Society Housekeeping Staff for her relentless service
Dr. Aatish Zagade, Deputy Director-Indira Global Business School felicitated the Office Boy of the Institute for his dedicated service and efforts during the Pandemic situation.	Prof. Priyanka Darekar of Indira Global Business School visited the Government Covid Testing Centre and supplied daily necessities and groceries to the Housekeeping Staff there. She also interacted with the entire team out there and expressed her gratitude for their selfless service.
Prof. Priyanka Pawar of Indira College of Engineering and Management gave one month grocery to sweepers at Sparsh Hospital Kalewadi and thanked them for their hard work and persistent efforts in the Covid 19 times.	Prof. Anuradda Pandde of Indira College of Engineering and Management said a big thank you to the 70 year old assistant working in the local grocery store who provided groceries, medicines, vegetables, fruits in the Pandemic Times by gifting him a small token of appreciation.
Prof. Supriya Desai provided reusable masks, sanitary napkins and protein supplements to all lady staff of MJM Hospital for their untiring efforts and services.	Mrs. Chhaya Bodkurwar, Admin Associate of Indira Global Business School gifted a small token of appreciation to the caretaker who babysat the kids in the society during the Lockdown when the Parents of essential services had to report to their workplaces.
Mr. Yogesh Gheware, Office Superintendent of Indira Global Business School expressed his gratitude towards the attendant and housekeeping staff in the maternity ward of a hospital in Talegaon for giving courage and taking dire care of the new mothers and their babies.	Mr. Santosh Dagade, Librarian of Indira Global Business School thanked his local Doctor who served the patients without any hesitation during the Covid19 times by gifting sanitizers for his clinic.

Mr. Dinesh Khodke System Administrator of Indira Global Business School has also helped the Society Watchman by sponsoring groceries for him during the lockdown. Moreover, the staff of IGBS and ICEM have also contributed to Sanskar Pratishthan an NGO which was involved in providing the Daily necessities and groceries to the tribal and rural community in Maval Region.
