Universities and higher education institutions across the country have been asked to take part in ‘Fit India Movement’, scheduled to be conducted on August 29.

Indira Global Business School also excitedly participated in and supported this initiative and made necessary arrangements to view the launch of Fit India Movement by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on 29th August 2019. The event was conceptualized on account of National Sports Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.

As per the directive by UGC, Indira Global Business School has made a  fitness plan and plans to incorporate the same in students’ and staff’s daily physical activities and ultimately in the daily routine on campus. The event witnessed the presence of around 40+ students and staff members who were attentive throughout the program. The Students and Staff members also took the fitness pledge.

This event was a huge success and the Institute expects that this event will have a positive effect on the students about physical fitness in an era of Digital India.
